After a successful first foray into ‘timeless high street style’ last year, allow me to introduce the first instalment of 2024’s ‘timeless high street style’ series, with – you guessed it – another spotlight on H&M.

What I love most about each of the items below is their versatility. Though all of these styles will work for the remainder of the season, the dresses and skirts will look just as good in spring paired with bare legs. The blazers and jumpers will work on those not-so-sunny Spring days we’ve come to know well. And let’s face it, you can never have enough basic tops!!

The Jumpers…

No matter how many times I try and clear out my knitwear cupboard, it’s never not jam-packed with beautiful jumpers. Why? Because when knitwear is this pretty and cosy, it’s hard to resist! At this time of year, all of these styles are perfect for layering and snuggling up in! They’ll look just as good paired with jeans and flats come Spring.

The Dresses & Skirts…

Talk about versatile pieces! Whilst the weather’s as chilly as it is, I’d wear the shirt dresses and utility skirt below with my black Louboutin boots and black tights. I love that they’ll look just as good in Spring paired with my Emmy London tan flats and bare legs!

The Trousers…

I am SO happy with these two purchases! If you watched this week’s video, you’ll see me try these on and they’re so flattering, I can tell I’m going to be living in them over the coming weeks.

The Coats & Jackets…

Though I love all of these designs, I can’t help but have a soft spot for the ivory weave jacket!

The Everyday Basics…

As I said in my last H&M post, at this time of year, long sleeved tops come into their own and add a welcomed layer of warmth as the temperatures fall. I love the earthiness of the shades below. The majority come in multiple colour ways though should you find yourself seeking brighter shades.

The Loungewear…

I shared the light beige set below in my loungewear edit last week but I’m sharing it again here because it’s such great value and perfect for this time of year! I

A little indulgence from my comfort of my own home thanks to INCREDIBLE @kmp_skin and @freshbeauty Ad
for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
Februarys carpet of Crocus blooms is always quite the spectacle. I find these little cheerful perennial flowers popping up in the most unlikely of places and what’s special is how they naturalise and multiply each year to create a carpet of flowers ready for the early Winter-Spring bees 🌱

Primrose & Snowdrops are on their way!
February is a very special month, it almost feels like the build up before the crescendo of spring and I can’t help but feel a flutter in my chest at the thought of what’s to come 🌱
