8th December 2023
My Christmas Gift Guide is here...

Ho! Ho! Ho! It’s that time of year again where I round up my all-time favourite items and package them up in my ultimate Christmas Gift Guide, for her. I can safely say that I own (or have previously owned and need to stock up on) each of the items below so you can rest assured that I stand by every single product in this list.

As you will see, I’ve broken them down into categories so you can shop for your nearest and dearest with ease. Within each category, I’ve highlighted the most unique gift idea should you be buying for a certain someone who is impossible to buy for, too!

(Apparently I’m a nightmare to buy for as well so my team convinced me that this might be helpful!)

In simple terms, if I opened any of the items below on Christmas Day, I would feel extremely grateful! I hope you find it helpful and happy shopping!

Stocking fillers…

There’s something so special about buying and receiving stocking gifts! For me, they’re a great way to stock up on the extra special items that you might not purchase for yourself, like a ‘posh’ shower gel that makes you feel extra special or a fancier tea that you can’t find at the supermarkets. I love including one or two extra special, slightly more random items too so that there’s a few surprises in there.

The best gift for the woman that has everything: The Carrie Atelier Bag Hook

Ad. I’ve had the Carrie for about a year now and it comes with me everywhere these days. Whether you carry an oversized tote or a mini Kelly, its’ innovative design means that you can hang any handbag on the side of your table when you’re in public with ease so you don’t have to keep worrying about checking it under the table or putting it down on unclean floors! Use the code lydiamillen for 10% off all sales.

Gift Ideas for the country lover…

Nothing brings me more joy than being out in the fields with Ali, Porter and Berkeley. With that in mind, I’m always partial to a gift that is inspired by the British countryside or encourages me to get outside in nature…

The best gift for the woman that has everything: The Stanley Insulated Mug

It might not be the most glamorous gift out there but this mug allows me to combine two of my favourite things (the countryside and coffee) and is an absolute game changer on morning walks with the boys first thing.

Gift Ideas for the Home Lover…

My home is my happy place. For that reason, beautiful candles, diffusers, home sprays and hand soaps never get old…

The best gift for the woman that has everything:  The 100 Acres hand soap and lotion set.

The 100 Acres products are truly heavenly and are rooted in the idea of bottling up everything beautiful about the British countryside so that we can enjoy it within our homes. For that reason, it’s near-on impossible to not fall head over heels in love with their products.

Gift Ideas for the Gardener…

My greenhouse is my other happy place! With that in mind, I’ve included my favourite gardening books, tools and attire below.

The best gift for the woman who has everything: The Almanac: A Seasonal Guide to 2024

What I love about this book is that it’s relevant year round and reminds me of how much beauty there is out there, no matter what time of year it is.

Gift Ideas for the Wellness Lover…

When life feels overwhelming or noisy, a gift that encourages new ideas, better habits or a moment of peace is one of the most heartfelt gifts you can receive in my eyes…

The best gift for the woman that has everything: Evergreen by Lydia Millen

Like I was going to say anything else! Reading your messages about how much this book has meant to you has meant the world to me this year. If you haven’t read it yet or have and know someone that might benefit from reading it too, I’m bias but I happen to think that it’s a lovely gift!

Gift Ideas for the foodie…

I happen to be surrounded by foodies so buying for food lovers is something I’ve had to get well versed in. In general, good quality produce always goes down well. Depending on their style, beautiful ceramic mugs or timeless kitchenware works a treat too.

The best gift for the woman who has everything: Homemade chutneys or baked goods

Personally, homemade chutneys and honey from our bees in the garden is one of my go-to gifts for friends and family so if you, like me, made a big batch in Autumn, now is the time to package it up nicely for all to enjoy!

Gift Ideas for the Gym Goer…

I rounded up my favourite gym wear in this post which breakdown why I love each of these brands. Generally speaking though, Adanola, Tala and Gymshark are as popular as they are for a reason so if you’re buying for an exercise fantastic, you can’t go wrong!

The best gift for the woman who has everything: Kinfill’s Yoga Mat Cleaner

If you’re buying for someone who, like me, exercises at home, this spray keeps my gym kit smelling divine. Don’t be fooled by the name either! I spray it on everything from my exercise mats and bench to my dumbbells and bike seat.

Gift ideas for the Luxury Lover…

Each of these items are the gift that keep on giving because I wear them near-on daily throughout the year and will do for a long time to come, I’m sure. Sites like Farfetch, Sellier Knightsbridge and Vestiaire Collective are great for hunting down pre-loved luxury if you’re looking for something a bit more unique.

The best gift for the woman who has everything: Garrard Wings Embrace 18-karat white gold diamond earrings

Because who wouldn’t want to find diamonds under the Christmas tree?!

Gift Ideas for the Gadget Lover…

I’ve tried a LOT of beauty gadgets in my time and these are the four that I keep coming back to.

The best gift for the woman who has everything: Spotlight Oral Care

Another ‘not very glamorous gift’, yes. But it’s a game changer. Trust me.

Gift Ideas for the Perfume Lover…

Though I love trying new perfumes throughout the year, these are the classics that I keep returning to and/or recent finds that I know will become part of my staple scents.

The best gift for the woman who has everything: Jasmin de Toscane by Jacques Fath

Though I’ve only just discovered this one, it’s perfect for the woman who has everything because it’s genuinely one-of-its-kind. Created with a truly unique variation of jasmine, the “Jasmin Sambac Grand Duc de Toscane”, for the first time in perfume history, it emanates elegance with a captivating warmth that is unlike anything I’ve worn before.  ‘Highgrove Bouquet’ by Penhaligons is truly beautiful too.

And finally, gift Ideas for the Sleep Lovers…

Who doesn’t love receiving beautiful nightwear? No matter what time of year it is, I revel in the opportunity to put on my favourite pair of pyjamas and cosy up with the boys and Lumi. For that reason, nightwear deserved a section of its own!

The best gift for the woman who has everything: A personalised Soho Home robe

I think this might be the most worn item I own. There’s rarely a day that goes by on which I don’t wear it in fact! I love that you can personalise them so they feel that bit more special. They’re unisex so Ali’s got one too!

I think that’s everything!

Happy shopping and Merry Christmas!

Absolutely loving Evergreen, it is a joy to read. It is a surprise to me, being honest, how much I enjoy watching your YouTube videos. It’s like catching up on the life of an old friend. Best, Maria x

    So many fantastic items!

A little indulgence from my comfort of my own home thanks to INCREDIBLE @kmp_skin and @freshbeauty Ad
for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
Februarys carpet of Crocus blooms is always quite the spectacle. I find these little cheerful perennial flowers popping up in the most unlikely of places and what’s special is how they naturalise and multiply each year to create a carpet of flowers ready for the early Winter-Spring bees 🌱
Winter Spring views.
Primrose & Snowdrops are on their way!
February is a very special month, it almost feels like the build up before the crescendo of spring and I can’t help but feel a flutter in my chest at the thought of what’s to come 🌱
