Kilner Jar – Ebay Towel – Ralph Lauren Home Sunglasses – Boohoo I think it’s safe to say this weekend was the craziest of my life, hence being slightly M.I.A. in the run up. Ali and I set off to Birmingham on Thursday evening as we were attending Bodypower Expo 2014 with our Sponsors PhD Woman & PhD Nutrition. It was long hours and hard graft but probably one of the most incredible experiences of my life, But more about that another time. I went to bed Sunday night as normal but awoke Monday feeling like I’d been hit by a bus (or 10), it’s amazing how your body keeps going and then the moment you stop it’s game over. I decided to take 5 from the usual blogging routine to bring myself back to life first so I spent the day in my pyjamas and rustled up some goodness to put back into my lethargic body. This smoothie packed full of anti-oxidants has got to be one of my favourites for the season and its a (Summer) breeze to do: You will need 1 Cup of Frozen Summer Berries 1/2 a Banana 1 Green Tea bag (I use Tesco’s finest) 2 Tbsp of Manuka Honey 1/2 Cup of Almond Milk 1/4 Cup of Water Ice Step 1 Boil 1/4 Cup of Water and add Green Tea bag and 2 Tbsp of Manuka honey. I think it’s safe to say this weekend was the craziest of my life, hence being slightly M.I.A. in the run up.
This smoothie packed full of anti-oxidants has got to be one of my favourites for the season and its a (Summer) breeze to do:
You will need
1 Cup of Frozen Summer Berries
1/2 a Banana
1 Green Tea bag (I use Tesco’s finest)
2 Tbsp of Manuka Honey
1/2 Cup of Almond Milk
1/4 Cup of Water
Ice
Step 1
Boil 1/4 Cup of Water and add Green Tea bag and 2 Tbsp of Manuka honey. Leave for a few minutes to infuse.
Step 2
Add remaining ingredients to Blender and blend until smooth.
Step 3
Then add the infused water and manuka honey and blend for a short while again.
Step 4
Serve in cute little jar like everyone else on the internet and add a Strawberry for photography purposes.
This is one of my favourite smoothies to sit out on the decking on warmer mornings and breath in the Summer air. It’s near impossible to have a bad day when you start them this way, try it!
