start your new years resolution planning now!

27th December 2015
The end of 2015 has been incredibly busy, I’ve been putting in 15 hour days and totally neglecting my wellbeing give or take a well deserved Yoga class or two so this will be the first year that I take New Years resolutions seriously. I’ve always been pretty together but I’m still learning boundaries when it comes to my work and I struggle to know when enough is enough. It comes from an acute need to succeed because as I child I never really excelled at anything….anything other than Sport that is. It’s become a running joke among friends that I will often be found sat with my knees pressed to my chest and bleary eyed at 2 am working away passionately and even now I sit here with stingy eyes and I know that 2016 has to be the year that I make a change. Obviously as part of my blog has a focus on health and fitness this time of year there are so many exciting new releases and launches to kick off everyones resolutions and I’ve been pretty excited to see the launch of Pink Soda Sport which I’ve known was on the way for a few months now. So with the arrival of the super feminine and fun sportswear collection in my workout wardrobe and my collaboration with them over the next few weeks where I will be sharing some of my favourite health & beauty tips as well as my first workout video but for now my resolution planning for 2016 is now in full swing. [lem_title]Focus on one[/lem_title]

Try not to set yourself up for failure by trying to change to much, quitting smoking, kicking the chocolate habit, being more mindful and learning the ancient art of falconry all at once can be a bit much so try to focus on just one area for now and if you manage to stick at it there’s nothing stopping you from making changes in any month of the year, why stop at just January. I’m going to be focusing more on making sure I have a schedule away from work such as a set bedtime, set gym times and overall more structure.

[lem_title]Plan to succeed[/lem_title]

My gym bag is packed with all of my new Pink Soda gear which is a great little motivation for me to get back into the swing of it, from leggings statement leggings with iridescent logos to snuggly jumpers and sports Bra’s in every colour of the rainbow they have well and truly hooked me up to succeed, I’ve booked my Monday yoga classes, dusted off my Lumie alarm clock and scheduled out my days to Start January as I plan to go on. There’s nothing more demotivating than getting ready to run out the door to fit in a quick work out and realising everything that is usually in your bag is either Dirty or simply no where to be found so I’m going to be prepping my gym back for the next session as soon as I get home from the last.

[lem_title]Problem Solve[/lem_title]

You will inevitably run into problems, trains are delayed, traffic is a nightmare and life simply happens. You cant change that but you can plan solutions around these scenarios to ensure you don’t fall off the wagon. When meetings over run and I don’t make it back in time to hit the gym I’m going to be taking myself for a walk in the crisp Winter air or switching my HIIT training for some a long distance 5K the next day. One hiccup doesn’t have to mean failure.

[lem_title]Enjoy![/lem_title]

Don’t forget to enjoy the process of change and your new life because if all goes to plan it’s going to be with you for a long time!
