perfection.

The Image Of Perfection via Mya.co.uk In my teens and throughout university I tortured myself horribly to remain slim, so I was pretty shocked when I came across this info-graph over on the MYA website regarding societies image of the perfect body.I see endless amounts of articles in magazines blaming the fashion industry for glamorizing size 0 but the public tell a very different story preferring hour glass body shapes, which hasn’t differed over the last decade. where Marilyn Monroe once reined now curvaceous Kim Kardashian and Beyonce hold the thrown.I’ve always maintained that the fashion industry isn’t to blame, yes sometimes errors of judgment are made and models aren’t helped as they should such as Ana Carolina Reston. But I believe this more falls down the the lack of education on offer to young girls and boys regarding healthy diet and exercise in school, I certainly wasn’t ever told that those burgers on offer in my school canteen, available day in day out, would not be good for me every day nor that skipping breakfast or any meal for that matter was equally as damaging. And as we’re seeing from the likes of Jen Selter on Instagram, who has amassed almost 1 million followers, being curvy doesn’t mean you are unfit!

Hair @imy_hair for @greatlengthsuk
I’m in my golden era. Ad having nurtured my hair back to health with professional haircare, supplements and hair oiling I knew I didn’t have enough time to grow my hair back for Summer so the wonderful team at @greatlengthsuk enlisted @imy_hair to transform me into my Summer style for the next few months. For those that don’t know Great Lengths has always been my extension brand of choice, about 15 years ago I had them for 2.5years to help me grow my hair back after I experimented a little too much with my style. My hair grew back healthy and strong and I didn’t have to wish the time away as the extensions gave me the extra few inches I needed without damaging my hair. I will have these removed at the end of the summer to continue to grow my hair back with regular Diamond cuts.
