my current morning smoothie recipe…

I’ve made no secret about the fact that when I discover something I like, I tend to go to town and consume it in access… and my current love affair with Carrie’s berry smoothie is no exception.

With that in mind, given that so many of you have asked for the recipe, I’ve got her to share her secret sauce ingredients below!

I’ve also included the secret to her ‘crap-acinno’ blend too (aptly named by a loyal YouTube subscriber after I shared the after effects in last month’s video..!) Though I can’t say that I enjoyed the taste of this one – if you love the taste of raisins, it has your name written all over it FYI – it certainly does the job if you’re feeling a bit blocked…!

Don’t say I didn’t warn you ladies and gents – Enjoy!

The Berry Booster
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 of a glass of coconut water
  • 1/3 of a glass of frozen berries
  • 2 tablespoons of natural yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
The method:
  • Pour all of the ingredients in to a blender and blitz away
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
The “crap-accino”
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 of a glass of milk of your choice (we used almond milk)
  • 6 dried dates
  • 2 shots of espresso
  • 1 tablespoon of cacao powder
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup
  • 1 Teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • A small handful of ice
The method:
  • Pour all of the ingredients in to a blender and blitz away
  • Ensure that there’s a bathroom nearby
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
