I obviously shared the wardrobe items that I will be returning to this Autumn in the first instalment of my ‘Revisting Old Favourites’ series, here. When it comes to boots for Autumn/Winter though, I thought I’d dedicate a whole post to the 5 pairs that I live in from September through to February because they have hands down been worth the investment.
So much so that I don’t feel the need to add more to my collection this year, for that very reason!
(I also shone the spotlight on this pair of Amazon boots yesterday, which are a great alternative if you’re on a budget but don’t want to compromise on style.)
With that in mind, in no particular order…
As I mentioned in my ‘Revisiting Old Favourites’ these boots are my go-to when I’m in need of a ‘why investing in quality matters’ case study example to highlight because I wear them with pretty much every outfit when I’m out and about in autumn/ winter. Unlike Louboutins of the past, they’re SO comfortable and go with everything. I genuinely think they’d cost a pound or two if I worked out the cost per wear.
These chocolate suede Louboutins compliment the cream and camel tones of my autumnal palette to perfection. They come into their own on those crisp, dry days in Autumn when I’m looking for a softer alternative to my black, leather Kate’s. I tend to wear them with knitted dresses which I belt at the waist for a soft and elegant every day look in Autumn.
Ah Dubarry! Where do I start!? The ultimate dog walking/country walking boot in my eyes. They’re waterproof. They keep your feet warm. They’re comfortable.
And they (importantly) look the part too.
The quality of these boots is hard to rival. Whether I’m spending an afternoon at Farmhouse or heading to the local pub for a drink, they elevate any country-inspired look.
If you’re looking for a flattering, knee length boot for casual attire, look no further than the ‘Albany’ boots from Holland Cooper. They cling to your ankle and calves in all of the right places so look stunning when paired with jeans, a casual shirt and country fleece. Available in four shades (black, chocolate, navy and tan) I opted for the chocolate pair as they compliment my personal wardrobe most.
Despite their somewhat tough exterior, these boots are so comfortable to wear and make me feel like I can conquer anything (I genuinely think I walk with a bit more conviction when I’m wearing them!) I believe they’re currently sold out but if you do get the chance to get your hands on a pair, I highly recommend them. Sign up for their next restock here.
While you’re here, why not take a look at the first edition of my ‘Revisiting Old Favourites’ series – a collection of autumn staples in my wardrobe that I’ve owned for years (that are still in stock) and plan to wear for many years to come.
