PS. Looking for gift ideas for her? My monthly Shopping Edits round up every single item that I’ve loved and shared in that particular month. If you ask me, each of those items would make great gifts. Take a look at January’s Shopping Edit here!
We recently upgraded our coffee machine to this model and I can safely say it’s transformed Ali into a coffee geek! (My morning black coffee tastes so much better as a result so I’m definitely not complaining over here!) I’ve linked the coffee machine if you fancy splashing out but good quality coffee beans will always be a winner in Ali’s eyes. He received this loaded tamper for Christmas which went down well too so if you’re buying for a coffee fiend, Ali recommends!
Rumour has it, food is the way to a man’s heart. Especially when that food is shaped like a pizza..! With that in mind, if you’ve been following our recent garden updates, you’ll have seen that we’ve had a traditional pizza oven built in so that we can host pizza parties come summer. This homemade pizza kit from Sous Chef stands out for that reason. If you read my team’s ‘Team Favourites’ earlier this week, the Ooni Pizza Oven works wonders too apparently!
There’s nothing we love more than a lazy Sunday morning, snuggled up in our dressing gowns with Porter, Berkeley and Lumi. With that in mind, you can never go wrong with a good quality dressing gown. Ali’s a big fan of New & Lingwood’s classic, cotton robes. I appreciate that they won’t be in everyone’s budget though so this classic cotton number from The White Company is a great alternative.
SHOP THE WHITE COMPANY ROBE
When in doubt, think whiskey. That’s my motto when it comes to buying for Ali, anyway! He loves The Macallan’s Double Cask 12 Years Old Single Malt Scotch. This Leather Hip Flask from Purdey is right up his street too.
Ever since I converted Ali into a morning person (!), he looks forward to our morning dog walks as much as me. That being said, we all know that walks are nowhere near as fun if you’re not dressed for the weather appropriately. For that reason, this jumper from Schoffel would make a great Valentine’s Day gift if the man in your life loves the countryside too. If you’re looking for an investment piece that will stand the test of time, Purdey’s Loden Field Coat won Ali over in an instant.
If the man in your life likes to dress to impress, a slim-fit merino wool sweater is guaranteed to please. Ali loves John Smedley’s Slim-Fit Merino Wool Sweaters so I tend to head to their website first. (This M&S Crew Neck Jumper is a great alternative if you’re looking for a high street alternative.) Turnball and Asser are great for luxury accessories if you’d rather opt for ties, pocket squares, umbrellas etc…
If the man in your life loves his work as much as Ali does, he’ll probably treat his office like his own personal sanctuary. Which is why a good quality room fragrance is always a good idea. Ali loves the ‘Abd El Kader’ room spray from Trudon – an inviting scent with notes of blackcurrant, jasmine and vanilla. I love the sound of Ritual’s ‘Ritual of Oude Home Perfume’ if you’re looking for a more affordable option.
Valentine’s Day gift ideas can be challenging, especially when trying to make it meaningful but not overly complicated. From my experience, it’s best to focus on what he genuinely enjoys or values. For instance, practical items like a high-quality wallet or a good pair of headphones are always appreciated. If he’s into hobbies, consider something that aligns with his interests—like accessories for his favorite sport or tools for a DIY project. Experiences are also a fantastic option—think tickets to a game, a cooking class you can do together, or even a weekend getaway to relax and reconnect. Sometimes, though, it’s worth stepping outside the traditional and exploring something unexpected. Websites like nastyhookups.com offer a unique approach to casual fun for adventurous types. It’s perfect for those who value connections without the complications of relationships. You can meet like-minded people, enjoy great moments, and move on if it’s not the right vibe….
