When it comes to buying for men, I know I’m not alone when I say that I find it hard.
Add a husband who tends to buy anything he wants when he sees it into the mix and the challenge increases somewhat!
Which is why I thought I’d get ahead this year and create a gift guide for Valentine’s Day, complete with Ali’s favourite things…
Plus a few alternative suggestions in case they’re helpful too.

FOR THE COFFEE LOVER
We recently upgraded our coffee machine to this model and I can safely say it’s transformed Ali into a coffee geek! (My morning black coffee tastes so much better as a result so I’m definitely not complaining over here!) I’ve linked the coffee machine if you fancy splashing out but good quality coffee beans will always be a winner in Ali’s eyes. He received this loaded tamper for Christmas which went down well too so if you’re buying for a coffee fiend, Ali recommends!
FOR THE FOODIE
Rumour has it, food is the way to a man’s heart. Especially when that food is shaped like a pizza..! With that in mind, if you’ve been following our recent garden updates, you’ll have seen that we’ve had a traditional pizza oven built in so that we can host pizza parties come summer. This homemade pizza kit from Sous Chef stands out for that reason. If you read my team’s ‘Team Favourites’ earlier this week, the Ooni Pizza Oven works wonders too apparently!
FOR THE SLEEP LOVER
There’s nothing we love more than a lazy Sunday morning, snuggled up in our dressing gowns with Porter, Berkeley and Lumi. With that in mind, you can never go wrong with a good quality dressing gown. Ever since I converted Ali into a morning person (!), he looks forward to our morning dog walks as much as me. That being said, we all know that walks are nowhere near as fun if you’re not dressed for the weather appropriately. For that reason, this jumper from Schoffel would make a great Valentine’s Day gift if the man in your life loves the countryside too. If the man in your life loves his work as much as Ali does, he’ll probably treat his office like his own personal sanctuary. Which is why a good quality room fragrance is always a good idea. Ali loves the ‘Abd El Kader’ room spray from Trudon – an inviting scent with notes of blackcurrant, jasmine and vanilla. I love the sound of Ritual’s ‘Ritual of Oude Home Perfume’ if you’re looking for a more affordable option.
