As with the previous items that I shared from H&M, all of the below, if well cared for, will look just as good this time next year as they do now. Given that they all buck the latest trends, I trust that they’ll look good ten years from now too!
As I said in this post last fortnight, timeless doesn’t have to mean plain! Which is why I was drawn to these fairisle and sequinned knits. Perfect for festive date nights or the big day itself, they mirror the sparkle and fun that can be found throughout the season.
You can’t go wrong with shades of ivory and cream at this time of year. Pair with black jeans and a pair of the leather boots below for the perfect ‘Cameron Diaz in The Holiday’ look…
‘Tis the season for satin and sequins, fa la la la laaa, la la la laaa!
Though I love playing around with prints, by opting for dresses in plain shades that echo the colour palette of the season, I know that the likelihood of me rewearing them year-on-year is high. Especially when they look as cosy as these dresses. I’d pair the velvet emerald dress with black satin Manolos and a velvet headband for an easy-to-wear festive look. I’d pair each of the knitted dresses with my black Hermes waist belt and black leather, knee high Louboutins for a chic and cosy look that can be worn all Winter long.
As I mentioned in my last post, given that coats, jackets and blazers tend to be on the pricier side, in order to get your moneys worth, keep the following two questions in mind when browsing: ‘Will this defy trends?’ and ‘Will this still look good on me in years to come?’ Personally, all of the below tick both boxes for me.
I live in boots at this time of year. That being said, on the days where it’s mild outside, both pairs of ballet pumps below would look stunning paired with a pair of jeans and one of the festive knits above…
For those of you looking for affordable alternatives to my Hermes Kelly, Holland Cooper Fedora and N.Peal leather gloves and cashmere scarf, look no further. M&S have you covered…
You can’t go wrong with a fresh pair of pyjamas at this time of year! The red checked pair are a particular favourite. My favourite red silk pair from Lilysilk that I wear on Christmas Eve may very well have just met their match!
And finally, good old thermals! You’ll thank me when it’s minus five outside and you need to walk the dog…!
I think that’s everything!
Let me know what high street brand you’d like me to spotlight next!
For now though, catch up on my previous H&M feature here….
