the look for less – chloe susanna boots

26th May 2015
A few weeks back Ali and I were browsing Harvey Nichols for our Birthday Presents (our birthday’s are 4 days apart) following a day of meetings. I stumbled across the shoe room situated in a hidden corner of the store. I spotted the Chloe “Susanna” boots almost immediately and decided that I would try them on for size. My usual size didn’t fit so I had to size down, they were conveniently in stock so the sales assistant brought them to me. In what seemed like a matter of seconds the boots were on, then off my feet and I was walking towards the till, debit card in hand. I bought them. I felt sick for days after until I realised just what an asset I had brought to my wardrobe. As you may know I love “bad ass boots” and you just don’t get badder than Susanna. With what can only be described as luxe-bohemian vibes they encapsulate my Summer style perfectly whether it’s distressed denim or a bell sleeved peasant blouse. The boots just work. And with the likes of Missguided, New Look and Choies offering some killer dupes. Now you don’t have to spend days feeling sick like I did, shop them below! Everything feels a little more optimistic as March begins don’t you think?
It’s the start of spring in my book Evergreen shortly followed by the spring equinox so there’s ample time to prepare, nest and refresh.
The light returns, hello March 🌱
There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad weather attire 💧
A little indulgence from my comfort of my own home thanks to INCREDIBLE @kmp_skin and @freshbeauty Ad
for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
Februarys carpet of Crocus blooms is always quite the spectacle. I find these little cheerful perennial flowers popping up in the most unlikely of places and what’s special is how they naturalise and multiply each year to create a carpet of flowers ready for the early Winter-Spring bees 🌱
