There are ALOT of new beauty launches now-a-days, who remembers when your make up options were limited to L’Oreal, Collection 2000 and Bourjois and that was about it? Now it can all get a little over whelming. However, if there is one type of product that has me ripping the packaging open and counting down the minutes until I get to try it on my face, still to this day its always Foundation. As someone whose had problematic skin in the past, reaching a point where I like,  maybe even dare I say it, LOVE how foundation looks on my skin instantly made me enjoy, appreciate and take pride in trying a new foundation and experiencing how it looks, feels and lasts on my skin and with the innovations in beauty moving at such an alarming rate a new foundation launch is always the most anticipated. And with so many foundations available I’ve built myself up quite the wardrobe of finishes and I use different brands, and products for different occasions. I don’t think I could ever wear just one foundation for the rest of my days so I thought it would be quite helpful to put together my foundation wardrobe here on the blog telling you why I love certain products, what events, scenarios, events I use them for and how I use them best.

And to start off The Base Edit, we’re kicking off with the newly reformulated Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser which became my go to base of Summer 2019.

I refer to the Tinted Moisturizer as the ‘French Lingerie’ in my foundation wardrobe. It’s a luxurious, delicate, feather weight formula that kisses your skin and adapts to the naturality of you. It gives skin luminosity with a hint of coverage to give your natural skin a bright and dewy boost without compromising on complexion enhancement. Its beautiful, sexy and effortless all at once.

I discovered the beauty of Tinted Moisturizer in the height of Summer but the natural and sheer finish of this product isn’t reserved for Summer skin, its luminosity is just as evident in the cool winter light and is so easily adapted coverage wise using a tonally perfect concealer to hide the effects winter can sometimes have on our skin. I know for me, slightly darker under eye circles much like the darker days are inevitable so a little extra help there teamed with some on the spot concealing of any blemishes really allows my skin to shine through whilst also looking flawless and perfected.

The Tinted Moistuizer comes in 20 cool, warm and neutral shades, I take shade TAWNY, packed with Vitamin C and E as well as a Broad spectrum SPF30 UVA/UVB sunscreen and is available now at CultBeauty.
