summer sandals and flats that i’m loving right now…

8th July 2022
You may or may not have noticed that I’ve been living in flats recently. With that in mind, I thought I'd share my favourites...
And by loving, I actually mean ‘that I’m borderline obsessed with…!’

You may or may not have noticed that I’ve been living in flats recently. Be it paired with long summer dresses or linen trousers, in my opinion – if they’re good quality – they do no wrong.

Which is why I’ve invested in a few pairs of late, my favourites of which I’ve shared below.

LK Bennett Navy and Cream Stripe Flats

How many times have I mentioned these flats now?! Whether it’s the timeless nautical print or the fact that they’re unbelievably comfy, they are one of my favourite purchases in recent months and elevate even the most simple of outfits.

Gianvito Rossi Suede Ballet Flats

I’ve worn my Manolo’s so much that they’re starting to look tired so I purchased these for when I want to dress up but keep my flats on. They’re definitely more of a smarter flat – perfect for meetings followed by wine dates with friends.

Valentino Garavani Rockstud Leather Ballet Flats

When in doubt, order rockstuds! That’s all I have to say on the matter…

LORO PIANA Summer Walk Leather Loafers

I am so glad I ordered these a few weeks back because they’re quickly becoming a key staple at the weekends – especially when pottering around garden stores is on the agenda! Perfect for strolling (as the name implies), they’re an investment that I very much plan to get the most out of.

M&S Leather Ballet Pumps

I shone the spotlight on these M&S flats a few weeks back and judging by your response, it seems that you love them too! Also available in white and silver, they feel like they should cost so much more than they are.

Dune Tan Slider Sandals

I won’t lie, nothing will ever top my beloved Hermes Oran’s but when it comes to highstreet alternatives, Dune are definitely the go-to. Like Hermes, these sliders come in multiple colours and Carrie can vouch for the fact that they’re comfortable too. Click here for the Hermes Oran’s instead.

LK Bennett Croc-Effect Leather Gladiator Sandals

I don’t think I’ll ever tire of a gladiator sandal in summer and these are by far my favourite this year. Though you can’t just slide gladiators on, admittedly, they feel more sturdy on your feet than certain sandals. Perfect for exploring on holiday or when you’re on the go.

Valentino Garavani Rockstud Leather Sandals

*See point about buying Rockstuds above!*

So there you have it – my favourite summer flats and sandals on the market right now. I hope that you find it helpful in some way – let me know which ones you go for below!

PS. The dress that I’m wearing is from Amazon! In case it’s helpful, you can find it here.

Everything feels a little more optimistic as March begins don’t you think?
It’s the start of spring in my book Evergreen shortly followed by the spring equinox so there’s ample time to prepare, nest and refresh.

for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
