structured pleats

4th August 2014
What a dream it was relaxing and and enjoying some much needed down time. I decided last minute to take a trip down to St. Albans in Hertfordshire for the market on Saturday because…well just because really! It’s such a beautiful little town with fresh fruit and flower stalls lining the cobble high-street, I felt like I was in a movie, not to mention that there’s certain sense of freedom when I visit a place where no one knows me. Is that just me? I need to buy this beautiful structured pleat skirt from American Apparel in every colour, it’s such a flattering fit which has now prompted a lust for all things pleated. I went in search whilst in St. Albans but anything which fit the bill was sold out in my size, which makes me think I’m not the only one on this quest. Luckily I found some less pricey options on here, so now I’m able to satisfy my pleated desires and so can you!     Skirt – American Apparel     Jumper – H&M     Sunglasses – Ray Ban     Bag – Alexander Wang     Shoes – Zara     Watch – Michael Kors

The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
Februarys carpet of Crocus blooms is always quite the spectacle. I find these little cheerful perennial flowers popping up in the most unlikely of places and what’s special is how they naturalise and multiply each year to create a carpet of flowers ready for the early Winter-Spring bees 🌱
Winter Spring views.

February is a very special month, it almost feels like the build up before the crescendo of spring and I can’t help but feel a flutter in my chest at the thought of what’s to come 🌱
