As fashion is a large part and also the original genre of lydiaelisemillen.com people often find it funny when I say I have never really been to fashion week. It’s all rather intimidating; I’m not Editor of a glossy magazine or dressed head to toe in designer labels. I’m a girl who started off taking pictures of herself in her bedroom on her iPhone.
Last season I was lucky enough to be invited to go back stage at Henry Holland but due to work commitments that really was all Ali and I could manage. This season however, I’m going to try a lot harder to really experience as much of London Fashion Week as my Chloe heels will allow.
With the temperature dropping fast I have been frantically collating my Autumn/Winter wardrobe in preparation, nudes, tans, creams and deep tobacco hues now hang proudly in my wardrobe. My jewellery of choice for this season, Taking inspiration from the dual tones of the Chloe A/W15 collection, is Pandora who this season merge both gold and silver hues in the most delicate and feminine way imaginable. This two-tone bangle is a twist on the original Pandora charm bracelet, which was and still is a staple in every quality jewellery lover’s collection. With its gold orb clasp and silver band I thoroughly enjoy selecting the charms which best reflect my personality, it’s almost like quite literally wearing your heart on your sleeve. The Peacock rings weave delicately around my fingers, glimmering against the muted hues of the season whilst my Majestic Feathers necklace provides me with peace of mind that I really will be just fine.

The Autumn Equinox has arrived and as the nights draw in there’s so many opportunities to reconnect with nature.
Hosting a very special breakfast for my girls in honour of @princestrust and @thebrilliantbreakfast to raise money to help young women turn their lives around through work, education and training. A donation of £5 can enable a woman to simply travel to an interview which could go on to change her life forever so I would absolutely love it if you would join me in hosting your own Brilliant Breakfast between the 9th and 15th October, whether it’s simply coffee with a close friend, or encouraging your entire office to get involved, the funds raised will go towards helping young women, aged 11-30 create better futures for themselves.
And thank you to my angel @hello.petal.flowers for giving her time and creative flare to bring my vision for the breakfast to life, of course you don’t have to go with florals like me, but if that’s something you enjoy this is the perfect opportunity to throw a lovely breakfast with your girlfriends with a cause that will help so many other women, front and centre!
