It all feels a lot more serious today doesn’t it? As we prepare for schools to close and my best friend has also just been emergency evacuated from her trip. Selfishly, I’m just looking forward to knowing she’s safe but I know she will be gutted. It feels wrong if I don’t acknowledge the changes day to day with this global situation before getting in to the body of my post because this is a diary and the biggest thing right now is what’s currently going on, so I hope you don’t mind. But with all that aside I’ve been really finding my feet with structuring my days and content, because I guess I’m a little less reliant on travel for my content and its just a bit awkward really isn’t it when people are describing your normal day to day life as “Quarantine” lol!

I jest but am a little grateful to be able to continue creating and adapt in the way that I have. I’m hoping to get a second blog post up today, as well as a video and at some point there should also be a podcast episode with one of my favourite people in the industry, Robin James aka Man For Himself so I hope you have a little listen to that because I poured myself a glass of bubbles and really just relaxed into having a virtual chat with my friend.

Todays outfit is a little self expression, I intended on wearing this for cheese and wine at Woburn mosaic for my Mother in laws birthday last Saturday but we cancelled and chose to stay in and drink Champagne together instead. This necklace (which you can see more of in this evenings video over on YouTube) is a piece I’ve been coveting since I began blogging 9 years ago, back when I wore second hand BlackMilk leggings and Jeffrey Campbell Litas pretty much exclusively. For me these necklaces haven’t and wont date, their bohemian rock influence completely transforms and elevates every outfit it touches and I’m so happy to finally be able to own a piece of this art in my wardrobe.

I’ve teamed it with an Anine Bing vintage style tee and an old Karen Millen faux leather skirt which gives such a different vibe than most pencil skirts which can feel quite corporate sometimes. This outfit is a personal favourite because it feels sexy but grungy and if you’re a regular around here you may know that I never like to have “too much” of any one style and prefer to contrast my looks to give balance and fluidity to my style. But generally, I’m also just trying to wear things that make me feel good regardless of where I’m going because its nice to feel nice.

I’ve also just checked the weather for the weekend and with Saturday and Sunday looking lovely and sunny and the week following looking not too shabby either, I think its time to ramp up the spring outfits and sprinkle a bit of colour into the outfits now.

Are you shopping for any pieces in particular right now and what items in your wardrobe are bringing you the most joy? I’d love to know what you are all lusting after right now and what pieces make you feel your absolute best wherever you are spending your days right now! I also want to say a huge thank you for all the comments and love on my posts so far, it means so much and I’m loving bringing you this content more regularly, its a little piece of joy in my day too.
