Having spent the last few weeks already at home, and things becoming quieter and quieter with regards to trips, meetings and campaigns being put on hold, I’ve been able to fully appreciate the unique and fortunate situation I currently find myself in which is a stark contrast to many, whom continue to be in my thoughts endlessly.

On videos I’m able to work usually around 2 weeks a head but blog and instagram I’m fortunate to have the ability to be impulsive and play things by ear a little and last night in bed, with the prospect of not being able to travel or create instagram content I decided to switch things up a little and take pictures of my outfits in my dressing room and share them on my feed as we gradually become more restricted over the next weeks or months. As a team we regularly discuss, dissect and debate over lunch, the goings on in the world which we feel is both important and healthy but for me, this doesn’t extend to my online platforms. I hope that by continuing to do what I do and sharing pieces of my life on the internet, I’m able to provide some light hearted relief from the dark clouds that so often hang over the world so heavily. If they don’t, I can only apologise that I’m not able to keep everyone happy as much as I wish I could.

With that said, welcome to my first ‘Style Diary’ entry that I hope to do over the coming weeks that I hope may bring a tiny little bit of inspiration to your feeds and maybe a little motivation to get up, get dressed and make the most of the situations we currently find ourselves in. Times are going to be hard, frustrations and anxieties will be running high but all we can do is accept the hands we are currently being dealt, as best we can (I know, thats not easy) and do our best to navigate it all together, thats how I feel anyway, I know we wont all feel that way.

I opened up on my instagram post today regarding how I am personally being affected having just hired two new team members and being a matter of weeks from launching my own brand, something I have been lovingly working on for the last 2 years. The prospect of having to delay it yet again, having had massive delays following the loss of Lynx, has just been heart breaking but I’m keeping positive in my belief in fate on this. What will be will be!

With all that aside, this was my outfit from Monday which arrived last week following a number of orders I place after my epic wardrobe declutter/organise over on my Youtube which you can watch here. I saw the dress and instantly loved it, but wondered how it would actually look on, I was apprehensive. Could it really be as perfect as it looked? It reminded me of my coveted Simone Rocha coat which I still get so much love and wear out of almost four years on, an expensive but sound investment piece. I needn’t have worried as it was perfect and a great transitional piece thanks to its thicker fabric and ability to be worn with tights and boots as well as bare legged with cute plimsol sneaks. I styled it up with my modern classic boots from Jimmy Choo and the iconic Chanel trendy to keep the focus on the beautiful tone and minimalist details of the Mara Hoffman dress. I know I say it all the time, its just because its true, but you are going to see me wearing this dress a lot over the coming months. I love it!

I’ve got to say, writing like this, just putting down what’s in my head for the day feels weirdly wonderful. I might have to make this more Journal like post a bit of a regular thing, what do you think?

Let me know in the comments below what your thought are? I’d also love to know what your current situation is with regards to what’s going? Are you self Isolating? In quarantine? Are you enjoying more content going out from creators and less brand trips?
