a millen-gordon guide to… gifting this father’s day

10th June 2022
Whether your Dad likes gadgets and gizmos or fashion, fragrance and travel, these Father's Day Gifts are guaranteed to make him smile…
As far as Dad’s go, I’ve got pretty lucky. Which is why I always try to make an effort on Father’s Day.
If you find yourself wanting to do the same, here’s my guide to gifting on Sunday 19th June.

Whether your Dad likes gadgets and gizmos or fashion, fragrance and travel, fingers crossed there’s a Father’s Day gift that he’ll love below…

THE FRAGRANCE

When it comes to men’s fragrance, you can’t go wrong with Hugo Boss. With that in mind, BOSS Bottled Marine instantly came to mind. Presented in the signature BOSS Bottled glass bottle, it’s a cool, marine-inspired fragrance that’s guaranteed to please.

THE OVERSHIRT

When it comes to men’s fashion, you can’t go wrong with Canali. Combining exceptional quality with effortless style, this over shirt would suit even the most fashion-averse fathers out there!

THE SWEATER

If your Dad happens to have expensive taste, this cashmere sweater from Loro Piana ticks all the boxes. Comfort. Style. Quality. Timeless. It’s the perfect sweater for those inimitable Dad hugs!

THE TRAVEL BAG

This wax holdall from Barbour is perfect for a Dad on the go! Even better for a Dad on the go who happens to love a country side aesthetic!

THE GROOMING KIT

I first came across Bamford at Daylesford’s Farm and instantly fell in love with their ethos. When it came to sourcing Father’s Day grooming kits therefore, they instantly came to mind. Whilst I haven’t actually smelt the mens range yet, if their women’s range is anything to go by, this set will be up there with the very best.

THE GADGET

I definitely take after my Dad when it comes to appreciating gadgets and one of my favourites (and Dad’s too!) is our Sonos sound system. If your Dad happens to love music or just appreciates good sound (!) any gadget from Sonos will make his day.

THE TRAINER

When it comes to shopping for men, you can’t go wrong with a pair of trainers right? Which is why this pair of low tops from Reiss had to make the list. Simple, stylish and effortlessly cool, they’ve definitely got my seal of approval!

THE ROBE

I won’t lie, gifting dressing gowns is one of my favourite things to do because they really do provide little moments of luxury. With that in mind, this unisex hooded robe from The White Company was a no brainer. The ultimate accessory for chilling out, it’s a great reminder for your Dad to put his feet up!

THE FRAMES

The ultimate accessory for Daddy Cools, these Reiss sunglasses are up there with some of the best this summer. Available in black, tortoiseshell and grey, your Dad will score some serious fashion points with these on!

Whether you’re spending it with your Dad or catching up with him later, I hope you enjoy celebrating Father’s Day all the same!

Lydia xx

Everything feels a little more optimistic as March begins don’t you think?
It’s the start of spring in my book Evergreen shortly followed by the spring equinox so there’s ample time to prepare, nest and refresh.

for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
