It’s been a while, I know, so welcome back to the new and improved lydiaelisemillen.com
After about a month of radio silence on here as I tended to a secret project that I’ve mentioned a few times in my recent videos and newsletter (which I will be able to reveal shortly!) I knew that when I finally turned my attention back to my blog, it had to make its comeback in style!
With that in mind, I’ve been working with the team at Chloe Digital for a few months behind the scenes to ensure that we took on board your feedback (for those of you subscribed to my newsletter that is) so that its easier to navigate and made this blog feel more me than its ever felt before.
With that in mind, I invite you to turn the pages and explore to your hearts content!
As you’ll see, the blog has been streamlined and designed in such a way that it should allow you to access all of my latest updates and thoughts with ease. The categories across all blog posts and in the Shop have been simplified too, so that they’re (fingers crossed) easier to make sense of going forward.
‘In the dressing room’ houses my thoughts on style and beauty.
‘In the home & garden’ stores anything related to interiors and the kitchen garden.
And ‘Lifestyle’ is the home for my thoughts on anything and everything that falls outside of that remit (wellness, travel, book recommendations etc…)
As always, you can shop all of my latest outfits and recommendations in both ‘Outfits’ and ‘Shop’ – Look out for the ‘Shopping Edits’ I post on the last day of each month that round up every item I’ve loved and featured that month, too. And my ‘Opening chapters’ which I post at the start of each month which lay out my intentions for the month ahead won’t be going anywhere either!
Though of course these practical adjustments influenced the blog’s evolution, I’d be lying if I said the journey I’ve been on personally over the past couple of years wasn’t a driving factor in wanting to update my blog as well. Though I’m bias perhaps, I’d like to think that this design feels more in line with where the journey I’ve been on in recent years has led me to…
And where I feel it’s taking me moving forward.
Like a coffee book that you can flick through on your lunch break (with a cup of freshly brewed coffee in hand of course) my hope is that it will be on standby to provide ideas, inspiration and more of an insight into my thoughts and dreams for the year ahead…
Ultimately, this blog is where I started many moons ago. Before YouTube, before Instagram, before TikTok, before Pinterest; just me, my laptop and my thoughts.
Which is why I will always have a soft spot for the way we communicate on here and look forward to sharing my thoughts as we journey through the seasons and navigate the year’s inevitable highs and lows, together.
