Given that Christmas Day starts with opening our stockings in the Millen-Gordon household, I thought I’d start with stocking fillers…
Should you need help with a few ideas that is.
Designed so that you can send the link to Santa as a not-so-subtle hint, every item below would go down a treat in my stocking this year.
PS. There’s also some gorgeous products from Beauty Pie in this post that would be welcomed too!
Pillow spray is one of those products that adds a layer of luxury to your every day, that is worth every penny if you ask me. This particular pillow spray from Aurelia London is relaxation in a bottle – A daily dose of heaven guaranteed to please.
This could be a present in itself to be honest but I’m in love with my new phone case so wanted to share! I bought this Aspinal of London case in shade ‘pebble’ a few days ago so can vouch for the fact that – as far as phone cases go – it’s a beauty.
I know, I know, I’m mentioning the ‘Winter’ candle from The White Company again but it’s the official smell of Christmas in my book, what can I say! Should you be looking for a scent that works year round though, Beauty Pie’s Bergamot and Wild Basil candle does the trick nicely too.
I love the idea of receiving beautiful lingerie at Christmas but that’s a gift that belongs under the tree in my opinion. Every day basics though? They most certainly qualify as stocking fillers! Boody is my go-to for every day basics and I can vouch for the fact that these black bamboo thongs (also available in nude) are the comfiest staples out there.
This cream goes on my stocking list year-on-year because it’s an all rounder that soothes even the driest of skin. So many of my friends love it now too. It’s an instant crowd pleaser that will go down a treat, I’m sure!
I love the idea of opening a lipstick on Christmas Day that will see me through the season of sparkle ahead. With that in mind, this Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in shade ‘Super Cindy’ had to make the cut! I wore this whilst shooting my latest collection with Karen Millen so it’s the perfect wintry rose that will compliment all skin tones.
Beauty doesn’t always have to cost a fortune and this Skin Relief Shampoo is testament to that! I only discovered it because they sell it on Ocado (I’d run out of shampoo so added it to my weekly food shop) and I’ve been a fan ever since!
Stocking fillers are always a great way of topping up on your make up essentials so for me, Rodial’s banana low lighter is always on my list. If you’ve been following me for a while now, you’ll know that I use this daily. It’s perfect for helping to disguise festive hangovers too!
I’ve documented my hair journey a lot this year so it can’t come as a surprise that Olaplex made the cut. If I’m being honest, every single one of their products is worth it in my opinion (a stocking full of Olaplex is the dream right?!) but if I had to pick one, their no.6 bond smoother is my favourite.
Oversized velvet hair bows make any outfit at this time of year so these 6 beauties from Amazon had to make the list. I bought them for Christmas this time last year and have worn them again and again in recent weeks. The red velvet bow is a particular favourite – the most festive accessory out there, I’m sure you’ll agree!
Following on from the above, silk scrunchies are another stocking staple! Not only do they protect your hair from excess breakage but they look pretty whilst doing so too!
It wouldn’t be a Christmas stocking without a pair of socks right?! Especially when they’re cashmere and as cosy as these. Perfect with pyjamas cosied up in front of the fire, whoever opens these on Christmas Day is a lucky lady if you ask me.
I love the idea of receiving food and drink goodies in my stocking as well… which is why fresh coffee beans from one of my favourite independent roasters and Fortnum & Mason loose leaf tea is on my list too. Personally, I love Union’s ‘Revelation’ beans and Fortnum & Mason’s Royal Blend but I’ll be nice and let you insert your favourite flavour of choice there!
