life & style diaries | march 27th

24th March 2020
Sorry its been a few days since my last Life & Style Diary entry, after the announcement regarding Lockdown here in the UK I think it all became very real and I thought I was alone in the fact that it definitely triggered anxieties in me that I didn’t know I have, especially as someone who doesn’t have anxiety but I’ve found myself googling all kinds of things, scaring and upsetting myself. Luckily Ali was on hand to talk me round and we are settled in to this new way of living at the moment. I’ve been focusing around work, creating content and have found myself more inspired fashion wise than I’ve been in a long time and statement dresses like this have been my weakness. Who remembers when I would only wear black a couple of weeks ago? I don’t even know who I am anymore either but its cheering me up no end putting a bit of colour, here and there, into my everyday wardrobe. I also picked up another pair of these black Valentino rock stud sandals which I already have in nude. These shoes are a little hack of mine that I’m telling you all about in a video next week which I’ve been working on today. But I’ve been working since 6am so I’m going to keep this short and sweet whilst I get a bottle of wine out of the cooler that I’ve been looking forward to opening all week, and letting this dress do the rest of the talking for me.     Have you been getting up and getting dressed still this week? Have you found yourself anxious over getting ill? And what do you have planned for this weekend? I hope this weather sticks around!

Everything feels a little more optimistic as March begins don’t you think?
It’s the start of spring in my book Evergreen shortly followed by the spring equinox so there’s ample time to prepare, nest and refresh.
The light returns, hello March 🌱
There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad weather attire 💧
A little indulgence from my comfort of my own home thanks to INCREDIBLE @kmp_skin and @freshbeauty Ad
for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
The plum tree in our garden is always the first blossom to erupt at this time of year narrowly beating the much loved aubretia that grows in abundance through our old garden wall. As soon as is acceptable I’m out with my secateurs ready to fill vases and prickly jars with its delicate confetti like blooms 🌸
