Growing up my diet could not have been less sophisticated if I tried, pasta, bread, potatoes and ketchup was the general gist of my day to day intake. I think as children we can get away with it but it’s as we age that we really do have to take what we put in and on our bodies a lot more seriously. I was very lucky in the sense that my parents fully respected my right to choose what I put on my plate and never forced me to eat anything I didn’t like, sure enough with time I found my own way that worked for me, sampling everything when I was ready to and developing my own pallet. There is still no place for tomatoes or mushrooms in my diet and I think I’ll take that one to the grave with me. I mixed up my first bottle of The Super Elixir and I can’t lie it took me a good few goes before I actually took a sip, but I’d mixed half coconut water and half ice cold still water with the two teaspoons of powder and after one sip I thought Oops! I’d bought those lovely flavoured coconut waters. But in actual fact I hadn’t, it just tasted that good. That was that, I was Sold. But in case you weren’t just yet; It’s free from dairy, gluten and preservatives making it Vegan Friendly and is designed to not only maintain good nutrition but also to keep your body in an alkaline state. When your body isn’t Alkaline it stops absorbing vitamins and minerals adequately, it doesn’t repair damaged cells as efficiently and can also considerably effect your energy levels. So I decided to take my Alkaline state just as seriously as I was taking my nutrition.

I now have The Super Elixir every morning before I head to the gym and on my return I enjoy/crave/devour in 60 seconds one of their vegan protein shakes from their range. I’ve removed any surgery acidic drinks, which were few and far between anyway, and am now working towards alkalizing my diet as much as possible whilst also undertaking the little 4 week Body Reboot which came with my Supplements.

The product above retails for £96 but that does include the pretty ceramic tub that looks incredibly chic in your kitchen but possibly isn’t necessary as the 300g of product works out to around £6 per day, fine if you don’t mind sacrificing a coffee or two but the refill sachets retail for £62.50 working out at £4 per day.

Hailed as the new Superfoods for your skin, the new Énergie de Vie is powered by Goji Berries and a favourite of mine, Lemon balm oil which had me itching to get it home and I’ve been trialling it over the last few weeks with the Énergie de Vie Nuit sleeping mask absolutely stealing my heart.

My skin has been on a bit of a hormonal roller coaster over the last few week, wreaking havoc with my complexion and hydration levels and that’s without my usual dryness being taken into consideration.
