The Last of the Summer Sun

small1

Looking at these pictures should make me feel nostalgic for the incredible memories of the Summer passed, but that’s the thing with living positively; there’s a way of spinning even the most depressing thoughts into a positive and as the rain beats heavily on my office window, I’m somewhat excited for the season ahead. I love watching the golden tones from the Sun fade away to crisp white mornings and the crunch of leaf covered ground under foot. Every season is magical. But this Summer especially took my breath away.

These pictures were taken at sunset wandering around Porto Montenegro and just as the tone of the images suggest, I did so in a dream-like state. I could have sat there for hours watching the falling Sun dancing on the water which surrounded the port. Sometimes you don’t realise that you simply need to sit and just be in that moment to be able to full appreciate the beauty of which you currently inhabit. And as if the world knew of my struggle to truly believe my eyes, there came from the water the fin of the most beautiful dolphin. The first dolphin I had ever seen.

That moment will stay with me forever, I was reminded of how beautiful the world is that we live in and that even if my own bubble might seem a little dull sometimes. A simple wander can show you just how beautiful the bigger picture is again.
