london fashion week essentials

14th September 2015
As fashion is a large part and also the original genre of lydiaelisemillen.com people often find it funny when I say I have never really been to fashion week. It’s all rather intimidating; I’m not Editor of a glossy magazine or dressed head to toe in designer labels. I’m a girl who started off taking pictures of herself in her bedroom on her iPhone. Last season I was lucky enough to be invited to go back stage at Henry Holland but due to work commitments that really was all Ali and I could manage. This season however, I’m going to try a lot harder to really experience as much of London Fashion Week as my Chloe heels will allow.  With the temperature dropping fast I have been frantically collating my Autumn/Winter wardrobe in preparation, nudes, tans, creams and deep tobacco hues now hang proudly in my wardrobe. My jewellery of choice for this season, Taking inspiration from the dual tones of the Chloe A/W15 collection, is Pandora who this season merge both gold and silver hues in the most delicate and feminine way imaginable. This two-tone bangle is a twist on the original Pandora charm bracelet, which was and still is a staple in every quality jewellery lover’s collection. With its gold orb clasp and silver band I thoroughly enjoy selecting the charms which best reflect my personality, it’s almost like quite literally wearing your heart on your sleeve. The Peacock rings weave delicately around my fingers, glimmering against the muted hues of the season whilst my Majestic Feathers necklace provides me with peace of mind that I really will be just fine. What do you love about Autumn styling? Share your Autumn favourites using the hashtag #AutumnWonders. This post is in collaboration with Pandora but all Opinions are my own.

Ad Embarking on a journey of timeless treasures, my passion for antiquing began in the warmth of late summer 2019. When I discovered my father’s old boarding school tuck trunk nestled in the attic of their home. Since then, my weekends have unfolded like chapters in a novel, meandering through antiques emporiums and brocantes across the country.

Each trip unveils a tapestry of tales from bygone eras - from weathered pickling jars and vases to opulent French chandeliers and steamer trunks, and with each trip, I was captivated by the hidden secrets and untold histories woven into each artefact.

Introducing ‘Scented Mementos’ - an enchanting limited edition collection by @jomalonelondon Each fragrance, a symphony of memories, encapsulates the essence of cherished moments. Immerse yourself in the zesty allure of Emerald Thyme, or indulge in the spicy nostalgia of Ginger Beer, where notes of ginger, roasted oak, and cinnamon intertwine to evoke memories of British antiques markets.

Everything feels a little more optimistic as March begins don’t you think?
It’s the start of spring in my book Evergreen shortly followed by the spring equinox so there’s ample time to prepare, nest and refresh.
The light returns, hello March 🌱
There’s no such thing as bad weather, only bad weather attire 💧
A little indulgence from my comfort of my own home thanks to INCREDIBLE @kmp_skin and @freshbeauty Ad
for the launch of the new Lotus Youth Preserve Resurfacing dream serum which is a gentle AHA serum with prickly pear flower extract said to boost radiance and it was so lovely to be treated to a first trial to get a very first impression of the serum thanks to KMP and her magic hands. I’ve literally never had a facial like it!
