learning and growing at london fashion week

18th September 2015
So this is it. I’m up and dressed ready for the day ahead and that day is day one of London Fashion Week. I’m apprehensive to say the least but more so I’m excited to be submerged within an environment bursting with creativity and inspiration. I’m going to absorb every last fabric, silhouette and stitch, I’m going to observe, listen and learn from every conversation and I’m going to grow as a blogger from every moment. But most importantly I want to experience the blood and sweat of the designers stressful lead up to their models first steps down the runway. This is what it’s all about for me. “I’m excited to be submerged within an environment bursting with creativity and inspiration.” So as far as my outfit is concerned it’s very much my comfort zone with delicate details along side masculine tailoring and my favourite dual tone hardware which sits perfectly around the minimalist design of my CM Gold time piece from Larsson & Jennings. The chain mail strap paired with the slim line aesthetics of the watch face perfectly marry both the masculine and feminine aspects of today’s look. Naturally, the Faye sits proudly under arm. This post was shot on the Olympus PEN E-PL7 & 45mm lens. Hello April, the most exciting month of them all!
Ad Embarking on a journey of timeless treasures, my passion for antiquing began in the warmth of late summer 2019. When I discovered my father’s old boarding school tuck trunk nestled in the attic of their home. Since then, my weekends have unfolded like chapters in a novel, meandering through antiques emporiums and brocantes across the country.

Each trip unveils a tapestry of tales from bygone eras - from weathered pickling jars and vases to opulent French chandeliers and steamer trunks, and with each trip, I was captivated by the hidden secrets and untold histories woven into each artefact.

Introducing ‘Scented Mementos’ - an enchanting limited edition collection by @jomalonelondon Each fragrance, a symphony of memories, encapsulates the essence of cherished moments. Immerse yourself in the zesty allure of Emerald Thyme, or indulge in the spicy nostalgia of Ginger Beer, where notes of ginger, roasted oak, and cinnamon intertwine to evoke memories of British antiques markets.
