Looks can be deceiving.

Beige5 Beige4 Beige8 Beige1 Beige3 Beige6 Beige7 Beige2It never fails to make me laugh, the assumptions people make about me long before they’ve even met me. Don’t get me wrong I may be guilty of the same when it comes to others. As sad as it may be we all judge to a certain extent. I know that it can shock some people when they discover that it’s actually not ever been a life goal of mine to marry a footballer, despite the award I won as most-likely-to in year 11 (still makes me lol just thinking about it)

What I gave up for lent this year wasn’t chocolate, take aways or cookies. I decided to try to judge less, I can’t say I’d do it all together but I’d do my best. Growing up I had a little chip on my shoulder which other kids misconstrued as being mean, and it wasn’t until I left school that I realised I wanted to be a good person, the kind of person that I am automatically drawn to and the kind of person to uplift others wherever they went. It wasn’t easy to lose the chip but a lot of self discovery teamed with a well selected team of family and friends meant that, well I like to think I’ve made the best of a bad situation.

We have the ability to change someones day with our choice of words. Let’s make sure we make our selections good ones!

Speaking of judging, what’s the betting you’ve judged this coat before clicking the link below because it is in actual fact an absolute bargain at £19!

What a beautiful post from a beautiful girl! If only there were more people in the world with this kind of mentality, the world would be a nicer place to live in. I also won that award in year 11 ‘most likely to be a footballers wife’. Haha I still have the award too!

And that coat is to die for! I think the cobalt blue version has got my name on it! Xxx

Loved this post Lydia, I know what you mean about people assuming things about you before they even really know you! Love the coat too – can’t believe it’s only £19! x

What a brilliant thing to admit. Something we could probably all (myself included!) think about more!

    *heads to ebay*

That is a wonderful line of thinking . What inspires me more is that some people think this things through and really want to change the way they are to the best . Can totally relate to that .

    And your look’s simply sharp:)

Love this post! One of the hardest things to admit is things you’re brave enough to say you’d like to change about yourself, not a lot of people can do that or even recognise that there are things that need changing, they just blame others and the world! Ps, love the outfit! Over and out, I’m off to ebay! Xo????

You look 10/10 in those photo’s! And I couldn’t agree more with the post, I think it’s so important for all of us to stop judging, it’s one of the worst things we do as human beings, yet I still find myself doing it from time to time. WHY?! Definitely a great idea to make a real conscious effort to stop. Round of applause.

Well said! Glory if I had a penny for everytime I was judged by someone (and rather obviously most of the time) I could afford that handbag!!
I was voted most likely to become a stripper 😐

… nevermind the coat… I have a serious chip that I didn’t attend this school where you win WAG awards in year 11! We had ‘how many items can you fit into a match box’… And if we were really lucky and snowed in, we could play ludo on a board from 1974 with half of the pieces missing!

… and look how I turned out. 😀

Lovely post, Lydia. I loved your honesty, and I would also like to become a good person, have that positivity and not judge anyone and I do have to say I’m getting good at it. World needs good people and more positivity!

I can’t believe how much that coat costs, such a bargain.

Whoa, I can’t believe you got that coat for so cheap!
I totally agree with you. Judging less is healthy behaviour.
